Braille Signs

Braille and tactile signs are a legal requirement for most public and commercial buildings in Australia. Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) and Australian Standard AS1428.1, buildings open to the public must display compliant tactile and braille signage at toilets, exits, lifts, and accessible entry points — helping people who are blind or have low vision navigate safely and independently.

Our braille signs are manufactured in-house at our Bayswater, Melbourne facility to meet AS1428.1 requirements: raised tactile characters between 1mm and 1.5mm, Grade 2 (contracted) Braille, rounded edges, and high colour contrast. Whether you need a single accessible toilet sign or a bulk order for a full building fit-out, we supply standard and custom braille signage with fast Australia-wide shipping.
