Shipping Policy

Production & Dispatch Times

Many of our products are custom made, printed or manufactured to order. Production lead times may vary depending on the product type, order quantity and artwork requirements.

Estimated production lead times are provided on product pages where applicable.

Typical production timeframes:

  • Standard stocked products: 1–2 business days
  • Custom signage and printed products: 3–5 business days
  • Large format, bulk or specialised orders: May require additional production time

Production time begins after:

  • Payment has been received in full
  • Final artwork approval has been confirmed (where applicable)

During peak periods, promotional events or public holidays, lead times may be extended.

If your order is urgent, please contact our team before placing your order to confirm current production schedules.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship Australia-wide using trusted courier and freight partners.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery location
  • Product dimensions
  • Weight
  • Freight requirements

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information will be sent to your nominated email address where available.

Estimated shipping times are provided by third-party carriers and may vary depending on your location and courier network conditions. 

Oversized & Freight Deliveries

Some signage products may be classified as oversized or bulky freight items due to their dimensions or weight.

Additional freight charges may apply for:

  • Large signs
  • Pallet deliveries
  • Regional or remote areas
  • Special handling requirements

If additional freight charges are required after checkout, our team will contact you before dispatch.

Customers must ensure there is safe and reasonable access for freight deliveries.

Authority to Leave

By selecting Authority to Leave (ATL), you authorise the courier to leave your order at the delivery address without obtaining a signature.

Once delivery has been completed by the courier under ATL instructions, Stencils & Signs Australia is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged parcels.

If you do not wish to provide ATL, please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.

Delivery Delays

While we aim to dispatch and deliver orders promptly, delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • Courier disruptions
  • Weather events
  • Public holidays
  • Peak freight periods
  • Manufacturing delays
  • Remote delivery locations

Estimated delivery dates are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed.

Click & Collect

Click & Collect is available from our Melbourne warehouse located at 30 London Drive, Bayswater, VIC 3153.

Customers will be notified when orders are ready for collection. Customers are welcome to pick up orders on same day during business hour if stock available.

Please await confirmation from us that your order is ready for collection before visiting our warehouse. If collecting prior to receiving confirmation, please contact us first to confirm stock availability.

Artwork Approval

For custom signage with complex design, artwork proofs may be supplied before production.

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review and approve all artwork details, including:

  • Spelling
  • Dimensions
  • Colours
  • Layout
  • Quantities
  • Design positioning

Once artwork approval has been confirmed, production will commence.

Stencils & Signs Australia is not responsible for errors approved by the customer after final artwork approval.

Colour Variations

Actual printed colours may vary slightly from:

  • On-screen previews
  • Digital mock-ups
  • Previously printed products

Variations can occur due to different screen settings, materials and printing processes.

Minor colour variations are not considered faults or defects.

Returns & Refund Policy

We comply with the Australian Consumer Law.

Customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund where products are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Change of Mind Returns

We do not accept change-of-mind returns for:

  • Custom made products
  • Printed products
  • Personalised signage
  • Made-to-order items
  • Custom stencil products

For eligible stocked products, change-of-mind return requests may be accepted at our discretion if:

  • The item is unused
  • The item is in original condition and packaging
  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.

A restocking fee may apply to approved returns.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact our team within 48 hours of delivery.

  • To assist with claims, please provide:
  • Your order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging

We may assess the issue and provide an appropriate resolution which may include:

  • Replacement
  • Repair
  • Refund
  • Store credit

Claims submitted outside the notification period may not be accepted.

Return Shipping

Where a return is approved, customers may be required to return the product to our nominated address.

Returned items must be securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.

Stencils & Signs Australia is not responsible for returned items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Order Cancellations

Orders for custom or made-to-order products cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

Cancellation requests submitted before production begins may be approved at our discretion.

Administrative or design charges may apply to cancelled orders where work has already been completed.

 

Warranty & Product Suitability

Customers are responsible for determining whether products are suitable for their intended application, installation environment and use conditions.

Improper installation, misuse or external environmental conditions may affect product performance and lifespan.
